The Ukrainians scored nine goals against their opponents
Ukrainian women’s national ice hockey team crushed Bulgaria in the first match World Cup 2024 in Division IIIA – 9:1.
The blue-and-yellows scored two goals by the middle of the first period. The Bulgarians reduced the gap, but Ukraine again increased their advantage. In the second 20 minutes, the Ukrainians scored five goals, finally eliminating the question of a winner.
Captain Valeria Manchak-Jensen scored a hat-trick. Daria Tsimirenko scored two goals and four assists, Polina Telegina scored one goal and four assists.
The Ukrainian national team will play its next match against Lithuania on March 12. The winner of the six-team group will be promoted to the division next season.
