In the sixth minute of the match, striker Arkhip Nekolenko opened the scoring with assists from Alexei Maklyukov and Robin Press. The guests retained the advantage until the 39th minute, when the captain of the Khabarovsk team, Dmitry Shevchenko, equalized the score thanks to assists from Kirill Slepts and Viktor Baldaev. The match was approaching extra time when, in the 57th minute, Igor Geraskin restored Metallurg’s lead. However, a minute later the score became level again after a goal by Amur striker Alex Broadhurst sent the match into overtime. The decisive goal in overtime was scored by Nikita Grebenkin.
This victory allowed Metallurg to win the six-game series and advance to the second round of the playoffs.
