Former Russian hockey player Valery Pokrovsky believes that the head coach of Ak Bars Zinetula Bilyaletdinov put the players of the Kazan team in an uncomfortable setting for them.
“AK bars” failed to reach the second round of the Fonbet KHL Championship playoffs, losing to Yekaterinburg Avtomobilist with a score of 1–4 in the series.
“Even Bilyaletdinov couldn’t do anything with these star hockey players. He put them in a setting they weren’t comfortable playing in. There are more creative and more advanced hockey players who have failed to play the game that was asked of them this season. They were not allowed to free their hands to be able to improvise, enjoy the game and thus bring joy to the fans,” Pokrovsky was quoted as saying by the Championship.
