Famous goalkeeper Anton Khudobin in an interview with he stated that he was not going to end his sporting career.
In November 2023, Khudobin, 37, signed a contract with Siberia, coming from Sokol (VHL). The goalkeeper played five matches for the Novosibirsk team and was winless with 90.0% of his shots saved. On March 10, the parties terminated the contract by mutual agreement.
— What are your plans for your future career?
— I have already started training. I arrived home a week ago. I work out a little at the gym, I stay in shape. Yesterday we even played hockey. Tomorrow I will go to the gym again.
As for a career, I haven’t thought about it yet. It’s only been a week and a half since we finished playing.
– Aren’t you hanging up your skates?
“I haven’t said anything like that to anyone.” I just do my homework and relax. There will be proposals – I will consider them. But what is certain is that I will not wait like this season. Start the season in the VHL, wait until the end of autumn, look for a contract in the KHL – now I won’t do that,” Khudobin told .
“Siberia” did not qualify for the Fonbet KHL Championship playoffs, finishing 10th in the Eastern Conference.
