The blue-yellows lead the mini-tournament with two wins
Ukrainian women’s national ice hockey team beat Lithuania in the second match World Cup 2024 in Division IIIA – 3:1.
The first period passed without goals. The Ukrainians managed to open the scoring in the minority at the start of the second 20 minutes; Polina Telegina scored.
In the final period, the Ukrainian team scored two more goals, removing the question of a winner. The Lithuanian team managed to pull one goal back only in the last minute of the match, and did not allow goalkeeper Victoria Tkachenko to force a shutout.
The Ukrainian team leads division IIIA with two victories. Let us remind you that in the first match the blue-yellows defeated Bulgaria (9:1).
In the next match, the Ukrainians will play against Serbia on March 14. The winner of the six-team group will be promoted to the division next season.
