Athletistic/Hockey. The Columbus Blue Jackets have parted ways with forward Oliver Bjorkstrand to join the Seattle Crackens this offseason.

Columbus received two 2023 draft picks in exchange. Thus, the Blue Jackets will receive the first pick in the third round and the second pick in the fourth.

Bjorkstrand was the team’s second leading scorer last season with 57 points in 80 games.

“It was a difficult decision to make as Oliver has contributed enormously to the success of the franchise over the past seven years. It was necessary to respect the salary cap following Godard’s move and Laine’s new contract. We thank Björkstrand and him wish all the best in the new stage of his career,” Columbus manager Jarmo Kekäläinen said.
