Athletistic / Hockey. New York Rangers goalie Igor Shesterkin shared his emotions after the 1:0 victory over Carolina in an NHL regular season away game. It was the 28-year-old Russian who became the best player of this meeting.
“It’s a huge win for our team. We did a great job and deserved two points today. I think it’s easier for me to defend a 1-0 lead because in these moments- there, we are more focused on the puck.
To be honest, today (March 12 – Rating Athletistic) it was my mother’s birthday, so I couldn’t play badly in that game,” Shersterkin said, as quoted by the NHL press service.
Igor Shesterkin stopped all 28 shots on his own goal in the game against Carolina. The Rangers are in third place in the Eastern Conference standings with 90 points after 65 matches.
