The head coach SKA Romain Rotenberg said hockey players of the St. Petersburg club will take part in voting in the Russian presidential election at a polling station located next to the SKA Arena.
The Russian presidential elections will be held from March 15 to 17.
— From March 15 to 17, the presidential elections will take place in Russia. All SKA players and coaches are active and responsible citizens. We consider it our duty to participate in the popular vote. Even serious preparation for the next matches with Avtomobilist will not prevent us from making our choice and paying our civic duty!
We are all registered in different cities, but we submitted applications in advance to state services and were assigned to a site next to the SKA Arena. From Friday March 15 at noon, the SKA will participate in the vote at the polling station on Frunze Street.
I personally believe that everyone should vote to have a say in determining the path our country takes. The more people who demonstrate civic responsibility, the healthier our society will be.
See you in the elections! — wrote Rotenberg on his Telegram channel.
The St. Petersburg team will meet Avtomobilist at the SKA Arena on March 17 in the first match of the second round of the Gagarin Cup.
