Athletistic / Hockey. The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Florida Panthers (5:3) last night in an NHL regular season road game. One of the main authors of this Lightning success was forward Nikita Kucherov.
Kucherov recorded two performance points in the meeting with the Panthers – he scored a goal and made an assist. At the end of the match, the 30-year-old Russian found the net empty, scoring his 40th goal this season. This allowed Kucherov to reach the 40-plus goal mark for the third time in his NHL career. Kucherov tied the results of the legendary Alexander Mogilny and current Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin.
The record holder for this indicator among Russians is Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin (13). Next come Ilya Kovalchuk (6) and Pavel Bure (5).
Nikita Kucherov scored 114 (40+74) points in the “goal+pass” system in 66 matches during the current regular season.
