“Dynamo” will not be able to cross and overtake “Traktor” – Kamensky

Vice-president of the Continental Hockey League Valery Kamensky told that it would be difficult for Dynamo Moscow to play against Chelyabinsk Traktor in the remaining matches of the second round of the Fonbet KHL Championship playoffs.

On Saturday, Traktor defeated Dynamo with a score of 4:2 in the first match of the series. The teams will play their next match on March 18 in Moscow. Earlier, Dynamo Moscow defeated Dynamo Minsk after six meetings, and Traktor defeated Salavat Yulaev in the series with a score of 4-2.

— What opinion do you have on the start of the Dynamo – Traktor series?

— Yes, the first match was left to Traktor. But I think it will be very difficult for Traktor against Dynamo. Experienced guys perform in Chelyabinsk. They are fast and have a lot of hockey experience. At the same time, there is a lot of talent. And it seems to me that the key factor in this series will be the play of the goalkeepers.

“Dynamo” will not be able to crush “Traktor”, let it pass, as happened with “Dynamo” Minsk. Here too, the series was hanging by a thread. A very interesting duel awaits us. After all, Traktor plays more combinatorial, organized and tactically competent hockey.

But Dynamo has the first link, which decides the outcome of majority matches. If Traktor is not removed, it will be very difficult for Dynamo. At the same time, Dynamo has the power and strength with which it plays.

— To what extent is the Dynamo team dependent on Nikita Gusev, who is ill?

– Most of them depend on him, of course. “We see during the matches that Dynamo’s game depends by 20 percent on the presence or absence of Gusev in the lineup. And this is a significant percentage for the majority,” Kamensky told .
