Athletistic / Hockey. The Vityaz press service announced the resignation of Dmitry Ryabykiya from the post of head coach of the team. Together with him, his assistant Alexey Bondarev leaves the Moscow region club.

Ryabykin led Vityaz for the 2023/2024 season, replacing Alexander Zavyalov as the club’s coach. The Moscow region club finished the regular KHD championship in last place in the league summary table, having achieved only 20 victories in 68 matches.

Previously, Dmitry Ryabykin headed Omsk Avangard. He joined the Siberian club before the start of the 2022/2023 season, but was fired just over a month into the KHL regular season due to a series of defeats. Later, Ryabykin was part of Ilya Vorobyov’s coaching staff at Metallurg Magnitogorsk. Where the mentor left in February 2023.

At the moment it is unclear who will prepare Vityaz for the upcoming KHL season.
