The first match of the final series against Sokol, Sumets’ team will play in Kyiv on March 21
Kremenchuk in the most dramatic style, snatched a victory over Dnieper in the decisive match of the semi-final series Favbet league – 2:1.
The Kherson team won the first period thanks to a goal from Dmitry Kobylnik. The home team equalized the score in the second half of the second period, converting the majority.
In the third twenty minutes, no one managed to score, so the game went into overtime. And there the team of Dmitry Sumets said the decisive word – it was Svyatoslav Timchenko’s accurate throw that brought them to the finals. It is also worth noting Bogdan Serednitsky, who contributed his stick to both of the opponent’s goals.
Let us remind you that the semi-final series began discouragingly for Kremenchug – with a home defeat 2:6. Then the representative of the Poltava region won two victories in a row with a score of 3:2. The Pike again defeated the opponent 6:2, leveling the series score. The fifth match went to Kremenchug (4:2), while the sixth meeting was marked by Dnepr’s comeback in the shootout.
In the final series, Kremenchuk will compete with Sokol, which in the semifinals easily defeated the Kyiv Capitals – 4:1. The current champion received a head start on a whole week of rest.
The first final match will take place in Kyiv on March 21.
