Athletistic / Hockey. Last night in Miami (Florida, USA), Salavat Yulaev coach Konstantin Koltsov died. The cause of death of the 42-year-old Belarusian is now known.
According to the press service of Salavat Yulaev, Koltsov died from a detached blood clot. Note that the coach flew to Miami for the WTA-1000 tennis tournament, where his beloved Arina Sabalenka is scheduled to perform.
Konstantin Koltsov finished his hockey career in 2016. During his career, he managed to play for Salavat Yulaev, Novokuznetsk Metallurg, Kazan Ak Bars, Moscow Spartak, Minsk Dynamo, as well as for the Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL. As a member of the Ufa team, the striker became the winner of the Super League, and also won the Gagarin Cup.
At the end of his career, Koltsov worked as a coach at Dynamo Minsk, Dynamo Molodechino and Spartak Moscow. Since 2022, he has been assistant to Viktor Kozlov at Salavat Yulaev.
