Pleshkov last week set a world record for the number of shots saved in a match, making 124 saves in the second round of the VHL playoffs against Tula AKM (0:1). The 21-year-old goalie missed the puck during the fifth overtime. The net playing time of the match exceeded 158 minutes.

— How long did it take to recover from such a match?

“It was a bit hard, I won’t hide it.” At the end of the match we were already playing in our second wind, but we fought for the victory. Emotions after the match are mixed. We really wanted to win, but it didn’t work… We nevertheless played a very good, interesting match. Yes, without a goal, but they showed combativeness.

Physically, I recovered quickly. It took me longer to realize that I had set a world record.

— How many kilos did you lose after this match? Have you weighed yourself?

— What was the most difficult thing during these 159 minutes of the match?

— Morally, it was good. I played and played. Physically it was a bit difficult, everything was already numb, my legs hurt.

— Did you receive a massage during breaks?

– Yes, we didn’t have time to have a massage. The break is short, I’m going to take off my goalie uniform and put it on. Honestly, I was already too lazy and I wouldn’t have had the strength to put my clothes back on. We only had time to nibble what we had. They brought us food and fresh water,” Pleshkov told .
