“Ovechkin is more active and interested in the game. He feels the importance of every game. This stage of the season is his time to shine, he strives to take his game and the whole team to the next level, acting as captain,” Carbery was quoted as saying by RMNB.com.

The Washington team is ninth in the Eastern Conference with 75 points in 68 games.
