Athletistic / Hockey. Last night, Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin scored two goals in the game against the Toronto Maple Leafs (3:7). This allowed him to achieve another statistical feat.

Ovechkin, after scoring a double, clearly ranked 12th in league history for the number of games with two or more points (2+) in the NHL regular season and playoffs. Today, the 38-year-old Russian has 465 such meetings. He pushed the legendary Paul Coffey (464) to 13th place.

Note that the Canadian Wayne Gretzky (932) holds the lead with a huge advantage. Second place is shared by his compatriot Mark Messier and the Czech Jaromir Jagr (both 590).

This season, Alexander Ovechkin played 65 games in the NHL regular season and scored 54 points, scored 23 goals and contributed 31 assists.
