Former head coach of Novokuznetsk Metallurg Valery Belov in an interview with , he cited the frequent change of coaches to work with defenders as one of the reasons for his departure from the club.
Belov headed Novokuznetsk Metallurg in October 2023 and left his post in December of the same year. Previously, the Russian specialist led Togliatti Lada and Moscow region Vityaz, and also worked as a coach at Dynamo Moscow and Ak Bars Kazan.
– What’s happening to you now? What stage of your career are you at?
— This season I worked as head coach of Novokuznetsk Metallurg (VHL). But at the end of December, I left this position for family reasons.
– For what?
— Just one fact: from July to December, four coaches to work with the defenders were replaced there. And there was no longer any mutual understanding. More of a family situation. We decided to separate by mutual agreement.
— What are your plans now?
— I would like to continue working.
– An assistant?
