The All-Russian Hockey League (VHL) announced the postponement of the sixth matches of the Petrov Cup quarter-final series, which were scheduled to take place on March 23.
— Due to the cancellation of all cultural, sporting and other public events in the Moscow region and the Republic of Tatarstan, the sixth matches of the Petrov Cup quarterfinal series between the “Khimik” teams (Voskresensk) and “Ugra” (Khanty -Mansiysk), as well as “Neftyanik” (Almetyevsk) and “Zauralye” (Kurgan), which were to take place on March 23, were postponed to a later date, VHL said.
The time and location of the sixth and seventh games of the series will also be announced, the league said.
On Friday evening, unknown assailants opened fire on the Crocus town hall in Krasnogorsk, near Moscow, where a concert by the band Picnic was to take place. Beforehand, several dozen people died as a result of the attack. The Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia has opened criminal proceedings regarding the terrorist attack.
