The fifth match of the Gagarin Cup quarter-final series in Omsk between “Avant-garde” And “Lokomotiv” will not take place on Sunday, March 24, the KHL press service reports.
The match has been postponed to another date, which will be announced later.
Earlier, the KHL also announced the postponement of the fourth match of the series between Spartak and Metallurg, scheduled for Saturday in Moscow, to another date. The meeting between Avtomobilist and SKA will be held on March 23 according to the initial schedule with spectators, but with increased security measures.
On Friday evening, unknown assailants opened fire on the Crocus town hall in Krasnogorsk, near Moscow, where a concert by the band Picnic was to take place. Beforehand, several dozen people died as a result of the attack. The Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia has opened criminal proceedings regarding the terrorist attack.
