The All-Russian Hockey League (VHL) has published changes to the schedule of matches of the quarter-finals of the playoffs.
The sixth match of the Khimik – Yugra series will take place on March 27 in the Moscow region; if necessary, the seventh match will take place in Khanty-Mansiysk on March 30. The sixth meeting of the Neftyanik – Zauralye series will take place on March 28 in Almetyevsk, the seventh match in Kurgan, if necessary, is scheduled for March 31.
Initially, the sixth matches of the series were scheduled to take place on March 23, but they were postponed due to the cancellation of all cultural, sports and other public events in the Moscow region and the Republic of Tatarstan.
On Friday evening, unknown assailants opened fire on the Crocus town hall in Krasnogorsk, near Moscow, where a concert by the band Picnic was to take place. According to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, 137 people died as a result of the attack. The Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee has opened criminal proceedings regarding the terrorist attack. Russian President Vladimir Putin declared March 24 a day of national mourning.
