Two-time ice hockey world champion Zherdev signed a trial contract with Dynamo Minsk

Minsk”Dynamo signed a trial contract with the striker Nikolai Zherdev according to the KHL website.

Last season, 37-year-old Zherdev played for Slovakian club Bratislava Capitals, where he played 12 games and scored 7 points (1 goal and 6 assists), as well as Italian Merano (21 points ( 10+11) in 18 games). Bratislava plays in the Austrian Ice Hockey League, which also has teams from Italy, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia. Merano is a member of the Alpine League, which is represented by clubs from Austria, Italy and Slovenia.

Zherdev was selected by Columbus with the fourth overall pick in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He has 421 games and 261 points (115+146) in the NHL, in the KHL, the striker played for Atlant, Ak Bars, Spartak, Severstal, Dynamo Moscow, Sochi, Torpedo, Neftekhimik and Dynamo Riga. As part of the Russian national team, the striker became a double world champion.

Dynamo Minsk also signed striker Daniil Ilyin, who played for Admiral and Sochi last season, on a trial contract.
