Athletistic / Hockey. Columbus found itself out of the NHL playoffs for the fourth straight time. Even the Russian landing didn’t help.
While some chase the record and, therefore, hang on to the playoffs, others lose their chances of reaching the stage so dear to Columbus. And all of this is interconnected. Due to the fact that Washington beat Winnipeg (Ovechkin scored a double) 3:0, the Columbus Blue Jackets, 11 games before the end of the regular season, lost even their mathematical chances of getting into the playoffs.
Russians Ivan Provorov, Kirill Marchenko, Daniil Tarasov, Dmitry Voronkov and Egor Chinakhov played for the Blue Jackets this season.
