Director General of Minsk “Dynamo” Artem Karkotsky has spoken about his plans to compete to advance to the second round of the playoffs in the upcoming Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) season.
The Minsk team, having scored 69 points in 68 matches, took eighth place in the Western Conference following the results of the KHL regular season. In the first round of the playoffs, the club lost to Dynamo Moscow in a series with a score of 2–4.
— As I said before, the minimum task will remain the same: reach the playoffs. But, knowing that the team is improving every year, its ambitions are also growing. And everyone is already waiting for us to pass the first round. We will therefore strive to achieve this. There is a development plan. There are already 25 players registered for next season with current contracts. We will specifically strengthen the team and develop young hockey players, ”quotes Karkotsky in the Championship.
