Athletistic / Hockey. The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Boston Bruins 3-1 in an NHL regular season home game. Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov scored another productive play.
The hosts’ Russian striker scored the goal, hitting the Bears’ empty net and setting up the final score on the scoreboard. This allowed Kucherov to regain sole leadership in the race for scorers in the current season in the NHL. Currently, the CSKA graduate has 124 (42+82) points thanks to the goal+pass system.
Kucherov’s closest pursuer, Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon, now has 123 points. Third place in this debate goes to Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid (119).
Nikita Kucherov has already become the top scorer in the NHL. This happened in the 2018/2019 season. As a member of Tampa, the Russian became a two-time winner of the Stanley Cup.
