Athletistic/Hockey. On Thursday, March 28, CSKA announced the termination of the contract with CSKA goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov. This decision of the club was commented on by the former head coach of the Russian national team Vyacheslav Bykov.

– Most likely, he decided to try himself in the NHL. I don’t know all these nuances of dismissal, but it seems to me that CSKA met him halfway so that Ivan could try himself elsewhere and realize his dreams. If they find a mutual solution, we can only wish Ivan good luck. He did a lot for the club,” Bykov told RIA Novosti.

Recall that Ivan Fedotov signed a contract with the Philadelphia Flyers in May 2022. However, in July he was called up for military service in the Russian Armed Forces. After returning from the army, Fedotov signed a new contract with CSKA. In this regard, disagreements arose between the clubs, as well as between the KHL and NHL.
