general manager “Cupid” Vadim Pokotilo reported that striker Egor Korshkov has refused to renew his contract and will leave the Khabarovsk club.
Korshkov has played for Amur since May 2023, joining the team following a trade with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. His contract with the club expires on Saturday April 30.
— I can say that Egor Korshkov will not be at Love next season. And here it is not even about the financial part: during the negotiations, we did not even address this issue. We calmly sat down with the management, discussed his fate, he expressed a desire to play for another club next season, citing frequent changes of time zones and flights. We did everything possible to keep him, but Egor honestly said that he made such a decision, giving us a free hand in finding a player in his position. Everything was right here. Thanks to him for his work at the club and for this good season. He showed his level to Love. I wish him a successful continuation of his career,” Pokotilo said at a press conference.
This season, Korshkov played 67 matches in the regular season, in which he scored 44 (15+29) points. In the first round of the Gagarin Cup against Metallurg Magnitogorsk (2-4), he played six matches and scored three (2+1) points.
