Philadelphia’s 27-year-old goaltender Ivan Fedotov made his league debut when he took the ice early in the second period. At 2.02 m, Fedotov became the tallest goaltender in National Hockey League history, ahead of Ben Bishop, Mikko Koskinen and Mads Søgaard, who are 2.01 m tall.
Fedotov became the 12th Russian goaltender to play in the current season in the NHL.
