Dynamo Moscow striker Nikita Gusev will sign a new contract, said the president of the hockey club, Viktor Voronin.
During the KHL regular season, Gusev set a league record for the number of points – 89 (23 goals + 66 assists) in 68 matches. The 31-year-old striker also has 10 points (3+7) in nine Gagarin Cup matches. Behind “Dynamo” Gusev has been performing since 2023.
“Before the start of the playoffs, a decision was made to extend the contract until April 30, 2024,” reports a correspondent, according to Voronin’s words.
Earlier, reported that Gusev’s representatives were asking Dynamo for a contract with conditions comparable to the deal for Avangard striker Vladimir Tkachev. The Dynamo striker could receive a salary of more than 100 million rubles next season, excluding individual bonuses, which amounted to around 30 million rubles for the 2023/24 season.
At the end of the KHL regular season, Dynamo takes first place and wins the Continental Cup. At the Gagarin Cup, the “blue and white” reached the second round and lost to Traktor with a score of 0-4 in the series.
