The arbitration court annulled the decision of the KHL Disciplinary Commission to fine Roman Rotenberg dated December 22, 2023. In accordance with the court decision, the KHL must return to SKA an amount of 500,000 rubles.
Recall that Rotenberg was disqualified for a match on November 4 for his statements after the match with the Avangard team, where he expressed dissatisfaction with the work of the referees who did not intervene in the fight between Ivan Zinchenko and Mark Verba. Then SKA was also fined 500 thousand rubles.
In addition, the KHL recently fined SKA for statements by the club’s chairman of the board of directors, Alexander Medvedev, regarding refereeing in the league.
