Spartak signed AHL champion Joey Keane to contract

American defender Joey Keane has moved to Moscow “Spartacus” according to the hockey club’s website.

The contract with the 23-year-old hockey player is for one year.

Keane was selected by the New York Rangers with the 88th overall pick in the 2018 NHL Draft. Last season, he scored 45 points (8 goals + 37 assists) in 80 games for the Chicago Wolves and won the American Hockey League (AHL) main trophy. During his career, the defenseman played two games with the Carolinas in the NHL. Previously, he also played in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and the United States Hockey League (USHL), was involved with the American junior team and became a member of the all-star game of the AHL.
