Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov helped his team confidently beat the Toronto Maple Leafs (4:1). The 30-year-old Russian scored a hat-trick with an assist in that game and also became the first Russian player to reach the 130-point mark during an NHL regular season. As a result, Kucherov was recognized as the third star of the day.
The best player of the day was Los Angeles Kings forward Trevor Moore, who scored a hat-trick in the match against the Seattle Kraken (5:2).
The second star of the day was Dallas Stars goaltender Jake Autinger, who stopped all 35 shots on goal in a 5-0 victory over the Edmonton Oilers.
