— In 2020, instructions were given to create a program to prevent the exodus of hockey players. One of the points of the program is to improve work with agents. The problem is that we have the right to strip agents of their accreditation, we force them to go through the accreditation process, but we have no responsibility for the fact that they do nothing. Another thing is that as soon as we hold agents accountable, clubs make comments and denials, and players do the same. The entire evidence base is leveled, the clubs benefit from it. The agents continue to kidnap young players, which is the worst for us. We have developed proposals that will help solve this problem. The most critical ages are 18 and 21.
The Ministry of Sports sent a request to the Ministry of the Interior, Tretyak wrote directly to Kolokoltsev. We received a response that the Home Office supports the initiative, but it is necessary to determine which body will hold officers to account. If another agency takes up this matter, then the same fate as we are currently experiencing will await us in court. If it’s the Department of Labor or an agency, the court will overturn all of that.
