– Of course. There is no conflict of interest here. The big advantage of scouting is that you aren’t tied to a desk and don’t have to sit in one place from morning to night. You simply attend the games you need to for the sake of Vegas. At the same time, you have free time, particularly to work on air.
— What is the main essence of this pro-scout work?
— Selection and analysis of players. What is also important is that when you work as a scout, you look at hockey and the game itself from a different perspective, analyzing hockey players and their actions. At what moments do they show themselves, what nuances does each player have. This is excellent experience for the future to become a coach, general manager or head of a hockey club. Being a scout gives you a huge amount of player knowledge when you study the entire league in depth. This is quality and responsible work, but also a huge fundamental learning,” Artyukhin told .
