The St. Petersburg club “Dynamo-Neva” defeated Krasnoyarsk “Biryusa” in the fifth match of the final series of the Women’s Hockey League and became the champion of the tournament for the first time.
The fifth meeting of the series up to four victories took place in Krasnoyarsk and ended with a score of 3:2. The St. Petersburg team won the series with a score of 4-1.
The Dynamo-Neva club played in the WHL final series for the second time in a row, but won the tournament for the first time. In the 2022/23 season, the St. Petersburg team lost in the decisive match against Ufa “Agidel”
Dynamo-Neva goalkeeper Diana Farkhutdinova was recognized as the most valuable player of the playoffs. The goalkeeper kept three clean sheets and stopped 392 shots in the playoffs. St. Petersburg head coach Alexander Zybin became the best coach in the championship.
