The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) has set the date for the start of the 2024/25 season, the tournament press service reports.
The 2024/2025 season begins on September 3 with a match for the Opening Cup, in which Yaroslavl Lokomotiv will face the other finalist of the current season, which is currently determined in the semi-final pair between Metallurg and Avtomobilist.
The host club for the first match of the season will be the winner of the 2024 Gagarin Cup.
