“Stanley Cup playoff goals don’t count. An injury-free career will help Ovechkin. If he stays healthy, if he doesn’t collapse, which I sincerely wish for him, may he be in life and in good health, he will definitely break Wayne Gretzky’s record in no more than two seasons, “said Guberniev.
The journalist also gave his response to those who consider Ovechkin a traitor. The hockey player plays for the American hockey club Washington Capitals.
“He is a great guy, I want to wish him good health and enviable longevity. Notice how good he is, he plays for the Washington team, this man is the ambassador of Russian sports, and only one idiot can call him a traitor,” the commentator added.
