Kucherov moved into 2nd place in NHL history in points in a season among players born outside of North America.

The club’s Russian striker “Tampa Bay Lightning » Nikita Koucherov completed two assists in the NHL regular season game against Ottawa and moved into second place in history for points scored in a season among players born outside the ‘North America.

Nikita Kucherov recorded his 97th and 98th assists of the season in the game against Ottawa. Kucherov now has 141 points (43 goals and 98 assists) this season.

Among players not born in North America, only the Czech has scored more points in a season than Kucherov. Jaromir Jagr – 149 during the 1995/96 season.
