In the first period, Nikita Kucherov recorded his 97th and 98th assists of the season. Kucherov now has 141 points (43 goals and 98 assists) this season. The Russian has played 78 matches and still leads the scorer race.
Kucherov is four points ahead of the Canadian forward of the Colorado Avalanche Nathan McKinnon who has 137 points (51+86) after 79 matches.
