Metallurg hockey player Vovchenko told to whom he dedicated the winning goal against the Avtomobilist

Before “Metallurgist” Daniel Vovchenko commented on the victory over Avtomobilist in the fifth game of the semi-finals of the Fonbet KHL Championship playoffs.

The meeting took place in Magnitogorsk at the Metallurg Arena and ended with a victory for the hosts with a score of 5:2.

“We always have a fighting spirit, we approach every match to win. What happened in this game happened. No one was confused, on the contrary, everyone supported Geraskin, came together and won.

— We play our hockey, impose our game, and that makes us play well and combine.

— We achieved the majority, and from the emotions it was clear that it was very important. Tell us about that moment and coming of age in general. Do you feel any progress in this component?

– We are working on it, yes. They changed it a little, it’s good that they scored. Well my partners set me up for a pitch, all I had to do was hit it.

— When they tied the score, wasn’t it shocking that the scenario of the last match could repeat itself?

– No, I wouldn’t say that. We were better throughout the match, we just conceded. It happens, but no one was confused. We went out and took that game.

— Who will you dedicate the goal to?

“It was our operator’s birthday,” Vovchenko was quoted as saying by Metaratings.ru.

The score in the series up to four victories became 3–2 in favor of Metallurg. The teams will play their sixth match on April 13 in Yekaterinburg.
