Athletistic/Hockey. Action Network reporter Chase McCallum has compiled a ranking of the best hockey players in the NHL.

It should be noted that goalkeepers were not taken into account in the classification. Field players only.

First up is “Edmonton’s” Connor McDavid, second is Cale Makar, who became last season’s most valuable player, and rounded out the top three regular-season snipers Auston Matthews.

The best among the Russians in this rating is Tampa striker Nikita Kucherov – 6th place. Alexander Ovechkin, who scored 50 goals in the 2021/22 season, is ranked 70th in the table. Also in the top 100 were Kirill Kaprizov (15th place), Pavel Buchnevich (39th place) and Valery Nichushkin (79th place).
