Athletistic / Hockey. Late in the evening of April 14, the Colorado Avalanche lost to the Vegas Golden Knights with a score of 3:4 in an away game of the NHL regular season. However, that did not prevent Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon from closing the gap on Russian Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov in the race for the title of top scorer this season in the NHL.
In the match against Vegas, MacKinnon scored an assist and increased his points total to 138. The Canadian forward is now three points behind the entire league leader Kucherov.
It should be noted that Colorado will have to play one game before the end of the regular season, while Tampa will have to play two games at a time.
