Athletistic / Hockey. New York Rangers forward Artemi Panarin scored two points last night for his performance in the NHL regular season game against the Ottawa Senators (4:0). The 32-year-old Russian scored a goal and an assist.
In 82 matches this season, Panarin has scored 120 (49+71) points using the goal+pass system. He became the fourth Russian hockey player to score at least 120 points in one NHL season. Previously, this was achieved by Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov (twice), Alexander Mogilny and Sergei Fedorov.
Note that Artemy Panarin has overtaken Alexei Yashin in terms of career points in the NHL (781) and now shares with him 11th place in the ranking of Russian scorers. The new benchmark for the Rangers striker is legendary defender Sergei Gonchar (811). The leader of this ranking is Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin (1549).
