Shortly after the game ended, Washington’s press office trolled the Pittsburgh Penguins, who missed the playoffs for the second straight year, on their social media page. “Caps” posted a funny meme: it depicts a waiter playing the role of “Washington”; the waiter offers the visitor to play the role of “Pittsburgh” food, accompanying all this action with the question: “I hope you are hungry?” However, after the lid, there is no food on the tray, but only a gaping void is visible.

“Washington” scored 91 points in 82 games of the NHL regular season and took the final eighth place in the Eastern Conference. “Pittsburgh” after 81 matches has 88 points and is 10th in the East.
