Minnesota goalie Marc-Andre Fleury extended his contract with the club, reports the press service “Savage” .
The new deal with the 39-year-old Canadian is for one year, his salary for next season will be 2.5 million euros.
Fleury played in 39 regular season games in the NHL this season, scoring 17 wins and stopping an average of 89.5% of shots. The goaltender is a three-time Stanley Cup winner with Pittsburgh.
Before the final match of the regular season with Seattle, Minnesota sits in 10th place in the Western Conference standings with 87 points. The team lost any chance of qualifying for the playoffs.
