Athletistic / Hockey. Colorado Avalanche goaltender Ivan Prosvetov will return to Russia. The 24-year-old goaltender will sign a contract with CSKA at the end of the current NHL season.

According to “Championship”, Prosvetov will sign a three-year contract with the military team. Note that Ivan’s rights in the KHL remained the property of the military club.

At the beginning of February 2024, Ivan Prosvetov was offered for waiver draft by Colorado management. However, no club was ready to take him on. This season in the NHL, the Russian played 11 matches, eight of which were on the ice from the first minutes. Ivan reflected 89.5% of shots with a reliability coefficient of 3.16. In the AHL, he has 20 games and 10 wins.

Prosvetov’s current contract with Colorado, worth a total of $775,000, expires July 1. It is after this that CSKA will be able to officially announce Ivan’s transfer. Note that Prosvetov will become the main goalkeeper of CSKA and will replace Ivan Fedotov, who left for the Philadelphia Flyers.
