Athletistic / Hockey. Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov officially became the NHL’s top regular season scorer in the 2023/2024 season. The final regular season games took place on April 19.

In 81 matches this campaign, Kucherov has scored 144 (44+100) points using the goal+pass system. The 30-year-old Russian will receive the Art Ross Trophy for the second time in his career. This award is given to the top scorer of the season in the NHL.

Note that this award had already been presented to the Russians by Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin (2008) and Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin (2009, 2012). Thus, Russia took second place in history in terms of the number of Art Ross trophies, overtaking the Czech Republic (Jaromir Jagr received all five awards). Canada has the largest number of such awards – 60.
