Philadelphia counts on Russian goalkeeper Fedotov next season

National Hockey League club Philadelphia Flyers count on the Russian goalkeeper Ivan Fedotova next season, said club general manager Daniel Brière.

Fedotov has played three games in the NHL this season, in which he has allowed 10 goals on 81.1% saved shots. The 27-year-old Russian’s contract with the club is coming to an end and he is eligible for unrestricted free agent status.

— This is what we expect: next season there will be a goalkeeping duo consisting of Samuel Ersson and Ivan Fedotov. Something can change, especially on the goalkeeper side. There seems to be some drama here. But I would like to do without it this time,” said journalist Charlie O’Connor quoting Brière on a social network.

Philadelphia did not qualify for the NHL playoffs at the end of the regular season.
