Former head coach of the Russian national team and former head referee of the KHL Vladimir Pluschev appreciated Metallurg Magnitogorsk’s performance in the first match of the 2024 Gagarin Cup final series with Lokomotiv.
On Thursday, the Magnitogorsk team defeated their opponent with a score of 2:1.
— “Magnitka” played in their own way, as in the previous series, they simply did not do everything well in attack. Apparently, because of this sticky play of Lokomotiv in the middle zone, they could not get the keys. But they really haven’t changed anything, because they are playing at home. That’s why the match went like that,” Plyushchev said, as quoted by Championship.
The second game of the series will take place on April 20. The third and fourth matches will take place in Yaroslavl on April 22 and 24.
