Da Costa played 72 games with Avtomobilist in the KHL regular season and playoffs and scored 64 points (24 goals + 40 assists). The Yekaterinburg team ended its performance in the Gagarin Cup in the semifinals, losing to Metallurg Magnitogorsk in seven matches.
Previously, the IIHF extended the suspension of the national teams of Russia and Belarus from international competitions for the 2024/25 season. Russian teams are no longer allowed to participate in tournaments under the auspices of the IIHF starting in 2022.
