Magnitogorsk “Metallurgist” won a victory over Yaroslavl “Lokomotiv” (2:1 OT) in overtime of the third game of the final series of the Fonbet Championship playoffs KHL .
In the first period of the meeting, which took place in Yaroslavl, the host striker Stepan Nikulin scored a goal, but after a video review it was canceled – Denis Alekseev, who gave the assist, was out -play before scoring.
The author of the first goal scored in the 35th minute was Dmitry Silantyev from Magnitogorsk. In the middle of the third period, Lokomotiv managed to equalize the score – a few seconds after the end of the power play, Georgy Ivanov scored.
The match went into overtime, in the 4th minute of which Alexander Petunin scored the winning goal.
Metallurg took the lead in the final series with a score of 3-0. The fourth match will also take place in Yaroslavl on April 24. If Magnitogorsk wins, the team will win the Gagarin Cup.
